The low turnout may not just be a reflection of the disinterest of potential voters. One of the barriers that may ultimately determine whether to vote is the complexity of the administrative process of voting, especially if you cannot vote from where you reside.
That's why the Česko.Digital community teamed up with Watchdog State to help create a new version of the form to apply for a voter ID. The aim was to remove potential barriers to voting outside of one's place of residence and not unnecessarily reduce the already low turnout for the European Parliament.
