In recent years, there has been a significant development in the Czech Republic in the area of publishing and using open data, especially in public administration. However, the potential of open data available to both the public administration and the private sector is still under-appreciated and under-utilised.

What is the focus of the project?

The project aims to support public institutions, NGOs and commercial companies that understand the importance and benefits of open data and have already made some of their data available.

What do we want to achieve in it?

The topic of open data is one of the priorities for Česko.Digital for 2022.
Our goal is to create a platform for meetings, for exchanging experiences, for finding partners and opportunities for cooperation between open data providers and their users.

How do we want to achieve this?

For the pilot project Open data in companies, we teamed up with CzechToll, a subsidiary of PPF Group.
Together, we will define the conditions under which socially relevant data from commercial companies can be opened, prepare a set of recommended procedures for technical implementation, and** link entities** from the public, non-profit, educational and commercial spheres.
